In 1989, NLA - Nuno Leónidas Architects established a dedicated Interior Department as a consequence of its extensive hotel project commissions. The department’s growing presence led to the formation of an independent firm, in 1997 - NL Decoração specialized in Interior Design, although maintaining all its connections with the core Architecture Practice and thereby profiting from the resulting synergy. The connection with the architectural practice permits a multi-task professional team to offer the client a homogenous project approach from conception to final design execution, thus integrating interior design, art and accessories, with the space’s architecture. The services provided by NLD range from concept design to the turn-key delivery of the project and include the detail design, acceptance of all materials and supplies and the supervision of the execution of all related works.
